There has been a little bit of an update since the last time I spoke about my son’s baby shower. Though I have been playing around with the idea of a book theme baby shower, I felt myself starting to gravitate towards a concept that would be larger-than-life and a bit more exciting. When’s the last time you went to a carnival or circus?

My husband and I have always seen carnivals pop up around our town that bring back so many fun memories of being a child. There were tons of fun games, prizes and all the junk food you could eat. My parents would take me to the circus whenever it came in town and that was nothing short of exciting either. For these reasons I really wanted to capture that essence at my son’s shower to mark the last days of “clowning around” if you will as we will become someone’s parents come January. Though I am still playing around with the design concept, I have found such amazing inspiration across the web that I had to share.
